By Air :
Thiruvananthapuram is very well connected by Air with major Indian cities, Middle –Eastern countries, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

By Train:
The City is well connected by train with rest of the country. For trains within
Kerala you will find trains running all along the coast. Tickets for shorter distances are easily available however for longer journeys make your booking in advance. Check our ‘Train Travel in India Chart” to see the details of train to and from Thiruvananthapuram.
By Bus:
The Kerala State Transport Corporation’s bus stand is located opposite the train station. There are regular buses along the north coast. Buses are also available for Kanyakumari and Thekkady (Periyar wildlife sanctuary). A trip to Kanyakumari is 2 hrs away while the journey to Thekkady is for 8 hrs. From Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam is 1 ½ hrs away, Alappuzha about 3 ½ hrs and Ernakulam (Kochi) is 5 hrs.
There are also buses run by Tamil Nadu state services to Chennai (17hrs), Madurai (7 hours) and Pondicherry (16hrs). The bus to Kovalam beach goes regularly throughout the day from the East Fort and is about a half hour bus ride.
