Thiruvananthapuram can be considered a tourist friendly city with all care taken to provide ample opportunities to facilitate tourists with information via the state run Tourist Information Centers. There is a tourist information centre at the central bus station, railway station, the domestic airport counter and the international airport counter. Apart from these, information centers are located at Parkview, Hotel Chaitram and SS Kovil Road. The state department organizes and runs various full day and longer tours for places within the city nearby areas.
