Introduction : |
Sawai Madhopur serves as the entry point for the more renowned Ranthambhore National Park, located 180 kms from Jaipur. The town was founded in 1765 and was named after its ruler Sawai Madho Singh- I of Jaipur. Located midway between Kota and Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur is more renowned for Ranthambhore National Park, which is about 12 kms from the town.
