How to Get Here :
Munnar is best accessed by Bus or by road. Even though the roads are in bad condition and gets worse during monsoons, it still remains the most plausible way to commute.
Kochi to Munnar by bus is about 5 hrs journey, Kottayam is 5 hrs, Kumili is about 4 ½ hrs and Thiruvananthapuram is approximately 9 hrs ride away.
Apart from the buses, cabs can be hired as well. The best way, however is to find a returning cab from Kumili. These cabs come to Kumili from Munnar to drop tourists and go back empty. The drivers to make an extra back take people back to Munnar at less than half the cost.
Getting Around The City :
Bikes are a good choice. For longer distances Car is ideal.
