India Chart”.

By Train:
Ernakulum is the station where all trains arrive and depart from. Trains are connected with most of the tourist cities of North and South India. Look for our " Train Travel in India Chart" for detailed information on trains to and from Ernakulum. There are two stations, Ernakulum Junction and Ernakulum Town.
Ernakulum Junction is where most of the trains stop. However, the reservation system is available at both the stations.

By Bus:
The main bus station is located in the centre of Ernakulum city and is located close to the Ernakulum train station. Private buses to Munnar and Thekaddy can be boarded near Ernakulum Junction railway station and the ones towards Guruvayur, Calicut etc from High Court junction. Generally speaking Kochi is well connected by roads with rest of Southern India.

By Ferry:
The main Ferry station is located just about a kilometer away from Ernakulum Junction Railway station. There is service to Fort Kochi, Willingdon Islands, Vypeen Islands and Mattancherry.
Ferries for Bolghatty Island, operates from the jetty by the High Court junction.

Getting Around The City :
Auto-rickshaws and walking are the best choices. Local buses are very good and of course very cheap as well. Ferries still are the main mode of transportation between the various parts of Kochi.
