Shopping : |
Kochi traditionally has been a great place to shop for spice, coir products and ethnic hand-woven textiles. Other things of interest can be camel-bone carvings, wood carvings, metal ware and articles made of coconut shells.
M G Road, Marine Drive and Broadway are the main shopping areas. The shops are open from 10 in the morning till 8 in the evening and closed on Sundays. There are state run emporiums located on M G Road. |
|
|
The Jew Street at Mattancherry can be explored for antique and art shops.
NIGHTLIFE:
The highlight of your stay in Kochi will be a performance of Kathakali. Kathakali is the classical dance–drama of Kerala. It is one of the oldest theatre forms of the world. Check with your hotel to book a local performance in discount prices. It’s a show you would not want to miss.
Local pubs and discotheques are available, although not many discotheques are known of except Le Meridian.
