Hampi
Hampi can be reached from Margao on a night bus. Tickets cost around Rs 400.
Another service which is more comfortable is the twice in a week train journey. The train leaves Vasco and Margao on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The journey is worth it as one gets to see a picturesque view of the Dudhdagar falls, on the wild Western Ghats.
Gokarna, Jog Falls, Southern Karnataka and Mangalore
To reach Gokarna the easiest is to get hold of the Konkan Railway or take a bus that runs from Goa to Mangalore and jump off at Gokarna junction. A train to Hoanvar via the Konkan railways will you get to the Jog Falls.
