| Night life in Delhi and the areas surrounding it (known as NCR, or national capital region) is multiplying by leaps and bounds. New places are mushrooming every now and then, catering to different interest groups. Bars and Clubs in Delhi close at 2.00 a.m. (generally speaking. Although this can vary every now and then depending on the prevailing law and order or the government’s sensitivity to the changing times , check with locals for a more accurate closing time ) |

whereas the ones in Gurgaon + Noida are open until 4.00 a.m. in the morning. Most of the nightclubs require couples to enter although , the bars are much more lenient and welcome singles.
Some of the more famous places to go to are:
Djinns, Hayatt Regency, Bhikaji Gama Place Area
A popular place to be seen at. Weekends are much more happening. Noticeable walls with pop art.
Jazz Bar, Maurya Sheraton, C P Area
Contrary to what the name would suggest, the place does not necessarily have Jazz all the time. A nice upscale bar, expensive ,yet attracts the crowds from the upper echelons of the society. Nice lounge to relax, enjoy and catch-up.
Shalom, GK Part I
Another expensive upscale bar and restaurant. It as very upscale and hip clientele and can be a problem getting a seat without reservations.
Elevate, Noida, Sector 18
Techno, Trance, Visiting DJ’s, party till morning, huge dancing space, neat decor and layout is what Elevate is all about. The place is a must for a dancing night-out.
Laidback Waters, Qutab Hotel, Qutab Institutional Area
As name suggest Laidback, chilled out, with a Moroccan feel yet on the expensive side. Well worth a visit if in that area.
Athena, Intercontinental Eros, Nehru Place
Another upscale dance / lounge bar in South Delhi. The bar is well stocked with 180 wines from around the world. Nice sitting and a decent size dance floor.
Orange Room, Ashok Hotel, Chanakya Puri
Mostly buzzing on Saturdays. Gets busy on the weekends and charges of Rs 1000 per couple.
Ricks, Taj Mahal Hotel, Man Singh Road
Generally considered a business bar perhaps owing to its prices and ambience. Carriers a great collection of Irish and American whiskies and southern Asian shack menu.
Climax, Mehrauli Gurgaon Road
A new trendy club is the latest buzz in the city. Friday and Saturday are happening and entry is only restricted to couples.
Turquoise Cottage, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road
Commonly know as TC, the place is 80’s rock music fans abode. Nice friendly and casual atmosphere, the place is busy with young executives and media fraternity letting their hair down. The place also has a nice restaurant that serves Chinese and Thai food. It’s located in Qutab Minar area.
