Located at Kalkaji, in South Delhi, the Bahai temple,
built in a shape of a lotus bears a resemblance to Sydney’s Opera House. The temple is an architectural marvel of the Bahai faith.
The Bahai faith is the world’s youngest independent religion, founded by Bahaullah (1817-1992). The Bahai faith believes in humanity being one single race and the fact |

that the day has arrived for the unification of all people into one global society.
Built by a Canadian architect of Iranian origin, “Fariborz Sahba”, the temple demanded work of over 800 technicians, engineers and workers to build.
The temple is built of three layers of nine petals with the top layer folded and the bottom most layer spread outwards to suggest a lotus, thus the name Bahai Temple.
