Alleppey is also famous for its pepper, coconut oil, areca nut, cardamom, sugar, etc and there are several markets where these, as well as colourful piles of fresh fruit and vegetables, can be purchased. NightLife
Alleppey is a small town where people come for boat cruises. Being a small town, there is no nightlife in terms of discos or clubs.
Nights here are generally spent either on Houseboats or at the Hotel you might be putting up, enjoying the views or savoring the Kerala delicacies respectively.
