The weeklong The Indian Maharaja - Deccan Odyssey tour includes several exotic destinations covering the vast expanse of Maharashtra and North India. Covering Mumbai, Aurangabad, Udaipur, Sawai Modhopur, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi
The Deccan Odyssey Luxury Train project is a joint venture of the Ministry of Railway, Government of India and MTDC (Maharashtra Tourist Development Corporation). The Deccan Odyssey has been benchmarked against the best luxury trains in the world like the Blue Train of South Africa, The Orient Express of Europe and the Eastern and Oriental of South East Asia.

Coaches
The Indian Maharaja - Deccan Odyssey has 21 coaches out of which 11 are passenger cars with 4 coupes each. There are 2 Presidential Suite Cars with 2 coupes per car. The train also has a conference car (can be redesigned as dance floor in the night) and two restaurant cars. There is also a lounge/bar car and one surprising addition is a Spa Car. Apart from the above there are generator cars with luggage store and staff car or spare car.

Day 01 : : Arrive Delhi
Arrival Mumbai, as per your flight schedule pickup from New Delhi airport and transfer to hotel, day at your rest, Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 : : New Delh – Board The Indian Maharaja
Morning after breakfast, half day city tour of Old and New Delhi. Afternoon transfer to the Railway station to join the train Indian Maharaja and your journey starts. Dinner on board.
Day 03 : : Agra
Morning arrival in Agra and proceed for the sightseeing of Agra including the immortal Taj Mahal. Continue on to visit the sights in Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. Evening depart for Jaipur.
Day 04 : : Jaipur
Sightseeing of Jaipur, famous as "The Pink City". Also visit Amber Fort; ascend the Fort on an elephant. Evening depart for Sawai Madhopur.
Day 05 : : Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)
Arrive Sawai Madhopur in the morning and drive to Ranthambore for wildlife viewing. After lunch re visit the park for afternoon safari. In the evening depart for Udaipur.
Day 06 : : Udaipur
Morning arrival. Excursion by coach to Udaipur, the city of palaces, lakes & gardens. Sightseeing includes visit to the City Palace complex. Return to the train for an overnight journey to Ellora.
Day 07 : : Ellora & Aurangabad
Morning arrival in Dulatabad and visit the magnificent rock-cut Ellora Caves temples, a UNESCO world heritage site. Ellora, a unique artistic creation, with its uninterrupted sequence of monuments dating from A.D. 600 to 1000.The 34 monasteries and temples, extending over more than 2 kms are devoted to Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. Tour of Aurangabad visiting Bibi-Ka-Makbara, patterned on the Taj Mahal. Evening depart for Ajanta.
Day 08 : : Ajanta
Arrive Jalgoan Railway Station in the morning and drive to Ajanta to visit the world-renowned caves, dating from 2nd B.C to 7th A.D, discovered by a British-hunting party in 1819. Now a UNESCIO world heritage site, these caves house the finest murals and sculptures considered to be masterpieces of Buddhist religious art. Evening departure for Mumbai.
Day 09 : : Mumbai
Morning arrival in Mumbai, pick up and transfer to hotel, day at your rest or go for a half day city tour, evening free, Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10 : : Mumbai Departure
Morning at your leisure, later as per your flight schedule transfer to Mumbai airport
to take your flight for your onward journey.
* Note: Train depart Delhi on Wednesday and arrives Mumbai on the following Wednesday. Indian Maharaja train also travels from Mumbai to Delhi following the same route in reverse.
All pricing is based on twin/double -sharing for two-guest traveling together
The given cost is based on per person per day on twin sharing basis, only for the Luxury train tour, the additional day before and after the tour as mention in the Itinerary will be on request as per your travel dates.
Additional Service Tax of 2.58 % for all the train tours.
Plus Commercial tax of USD 15 per person for POW & Royal Rajasthan on wheels.
