Kerala, God's Own Country - 08 Days

 

Day 01: Arrival at Cochin Airport and Transfer to Hotels
Our friendly representative welcomes you to the “God’s own Country”, Kerala at Cochin Airport or Railway station. Check in to Hotels.  Sightseeing place - Fort Cochin, Mattancherry, Chinese fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue.  Over night stay at Hotels.

Day 02: Cochin to Munnar (130 Km - 3 ½ Hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Munnar- “The Southern Kashmir of Kerala”. Munnar is nature lover’s paradise, and 1800 Mts.above Sea level. On arrival, check-in to the hotel/resort and relax. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 03: Munnar
Morning after breakfast go for sightseeing- Mattupetty Dam/ Kundala Dam for boating. On the way, a visit to Echo point & shooting point. Visit Eravikulam National Park. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 04: Munnar to Thekkady (110 Kms - 3 Hrs)
Morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel at Munnar, and proceed to Thekkady, the land of Elephants, unending chains of hills and spices plantations. Check-in to your Hotel/ Resort. Afternoon, if possible boating in Periyar Lake. Through the Wildlife Sanctuary, spices plantation. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
              
Day 05: Thekkady to Kumarakom (HOUSEBOAT)(145 Kms - 3 ½ Hrs)         
Morning after breakfast check-out from Thekkady and proceed to Kumarakom. - a unique backwater destination situated on the banks of Vembanad lake. Kumarakom is a center for House Boat cruise and Bird Sanctuary. On arrival check in to Houseboat.  Overnight at A/c Houseboat.
               
Day 06: Kumarakom to Kovalam (185 Kms - 4 ½ Hrs)
Morning after breakfast check-out from the Houseboat at Kumarakom, and proceed to Kovalam. Check-in to your Hotel/ Resort. Kovalam beach is a sheltered natural bay with cool soothing palms and gentle waves. In the evening you can explore the beach, handicrafts, jewellery, and cloth shops, spread along the water front. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 07: Kovalam to Kanyakumari (Day trip)  (100Km one way)
Morning after breakfast, visit to Kanyakumari - Swami Vivekananda Temple situated on a rock in the sea. Kanyakumari Devi temple, Gandhi memorial.  Return to Kovalam and relax. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 08: Drop at Trivandrum Airport or Railway station
The dream days come to an end, and it is time to bid farewell. Drive to Trivandrum Airport / Railway station, for onward journey.
